What you need to know before your first session:

1) Always plan to be at our agreed upon location 10-15 mins early so I may set up for our session. The start time of your appointment is when I want you ON the massage table. If you are late, your massage will still end on time. Please help me give you the full session you are paying for by scheduling accordingly.

2) Your NEW CLIENT INTAKE FORM needs to be filled out at least 24 hours in advance of your session. If you've misplaced the original email with your form link in it, you can click on the underlined text that reads Intake Form or find it under the Resources menu tab to get it finished and submitted. Otherwise I have to take time out of your session to do this, and I'd rather not do that!

3) What to wear: You will undress for your session and you will be covered securely the whole time. I will only uncover each body part as it is being worked on. I prefer not to work around or over clothing. (Tight boxers/boxer briefs are no fun if your hamstrings need worked! Leave undies on if you have a good reason to.) Please also remove all jewelry from neck and wrists.

4) After your consultation, I will step out of the room allowing you to get comfortable on the table. I will reenter after knocking and receiving confirmation you are under the sheets.

5) Tipping: appreciated but not necessary, consider me part of your health care team.

6) All clients agree to give at least 24 hours notice for cancellations/rescheduling. (You sign an intake form stating this.)

Make sure the email you received upon booking your session is accurate and that your calendar matches mine. Your appointment is confirmed when booked. You will receive an appointment reminder through text/email 48 hours in advance, as a courtesy,

*Due to an increase of last minute rescheduling, after 3 times you will have to wait for a cancellation to schedule again.

I book out weeks in advance, its not fair to leave a gap in my day because you continuously double book yourself.

7) I do not recommend massage if you are CURRENTLY experiencing or have had any of the following:

  • Active Infectious or contagious disease

  • Fever, Nausea, or Diarrhea

  • Severe, unexplained abdominal pain

  • Throbbing/Migraine headache

  • Kidney and/or bladder disease or infection

  • Cancer or undiagnosed lumps

  • Any active inflammatory disease affecting blood vessels

  • Diabetes - with active complications

Please notify me before your session, if you develop any new health conditions or symptoms, no matter how minor.

You must wait 6 weeks after surgery to receive massage or have doctors written clearance.

You must wait at least 24 hours after nerve block or steroid injections.

You must wait 48 hours after any vaccination or at least 2 weeks after a C19 injection.

8) Sick Policy: In an effort to maintain a healthy environment, I ask that if you are sick (which includes a cold, a fever, the flu etc.) or have the onset symptoms of an illness that you reschedule your appointment. This is for your well being as well as the health of the therapist and other clients.

If I arrive for your appointment and notice symptoms of an illness, you will be asked to reschedule your appointment and will be charged for the service booked. Receiving massage while sick is not advised. While in the early stages of a cold, the flu or other illness, a massage can accelerate the onset of the infection and intensify its severity (via additional circulation of blood & lymph). If you get a massage after the infection has peaked, you may experience a relapse of symptoms and feel sick again. Please wait until you are well for at least a week to re-book your massage. If you do need to cancel your appointment, please cal or use the confirmation link to reschedule for a time when you are feeling better.

9) Refusal of Service: For safety purposes, I reserve the right to refuse or discontinue treatment at anytime.

Reasons may include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • sexual or romantic advances

  • derogatory or bigoted comments

  • illness or infectious conditions

  • contagious or unidentified skin conditions

10) Your Privacy is my priority. You will be required to complete a confidential health history form. This form must be updated annually or any time there are significant changes to your health history (surgery, major illness, etc.) The information in your file can only be released with your consent or as required by law. In order to best serve you, I may discuss your case with other healthcare professionals.
